Zinnia (Zinnia Hybrida Profusion Apricot) - Early, continuously blooming zinnia plants perform well under both warm and cool conditions with high humidity. Excellent tolerance to disease including powdery mildew and leaf spot making this apricot zinnia excellent for arid regions. This zinnia plant reaches 12 - 15 inches in height and and 12 - 15 inches in width. The 2 inch apricot blooms erupt all summer long on these dwarf plants.
Zinnias are one of the easiest annuals to grow, and attract butterflies to the garden. They make an excellent cut flower as the more you cut, the more flowers you get! They thrive in the sun and heat of summer, only asking for well-drained soil. Gardeners will want to space the plants generously to prevent overcrowding. When cutting the blooms for the vase it is best to trim off all the foliage; unlike the blooms, the foliage does not age well.
