Petunia (Petunia Multiflora Quinto Rose) - Yet another breathtaking color to add to your garden! Grow this rose colored Petunia from flower seed and enjoy its simplistic beauty. This variety is low-to-the-ground, only 8 inches high, and it produces an abundance of small trumpet-shaped blooms without taking a breath all summer long. No annual is more reliable! The flowers will perform as a bedding plant or in containers and baskets.
Sow Petunia seeds indoors 10 - 12 weeks before planting out. The flower seeds are extremely tiny, so press them gently onto the soil surface without covering, and keep the soil wet for the best germination. Five or six weeks after sowing the flower seeds, transplant the seedlings into 3 inch pots, and grow on in cooler temperatures with plenty of light. Harden young plants for 10 - 14 days before planting outdoors after last frost date. They need a location where they receive a minimum of 7 hours of sun each day. When planting outdoors, pinch the young seedlings back to encourage branching. Because Petunias are heavy feeders, flower care includes regular applications of a balanced liquid fertilizer.
