How To Grow
Marigold seeds can be started as early as February indoors, or two weeks before the last frost when sown outdoors. Plant seeds at a depth of 1/4 inch in prepared, raked soil. Soil temperature should be about 70F degrees for germination: keep soil moist but not wet, and germination will occur in 5 - 20 days. Deadhead spent blooms freely to encourage continued flowering. Use a balanced fertilizer once a week for potted plants, and once every two weeks for full-soil plants.
